Standard Evaluation + Recommendation
Intake & Testing: Parent interview, surveys, and 4-6 hours of child testing.
All evaluations can be completed fully in person (Columbus) or virtually for eligible psychological and behavioral needs. Autism evaluations are completed in person to ensure accuracy and high-quality observation.
Every child deserves to thrive.
Dr. Margaret Rosencrans founded Orchid Psychological Services to help families get answers without endless waitlists. Trained in the scientist-practitioner model, she blends evidence-based testing and evaluation with a trauma-informed and neurodivergent lens, ensuring each child is understood in the context of their unique strengths and challenges.

Coverage varies by plan, service, and clinical need. Families are responsible for verifying benefits, deductibles, and co-pays prior to starting services.
For families who are out-of-network or prefer not to use insurance, private-pay options are available. Superbills can be provided for possible out-of-network reimbursement, depending on your plan.
Can I use my FSA/HSA funds for psychological testing?
In most cases, yes. Psychological evaluations and medically necessary consultations are generally considered IRS-qualified medical expenses. We accept both FSA and HSA cards as forms of payment.
Coverage and eligibility rules vary by plan, so we recommend confirming details with your plan administrator.
What if my child isn’t diagnosed with ADHD, Autism, or another condition?
A diagnosis is not the only outcome of an evaluation. Every family receives a comprehensive written report that explains their child’s strengths and areas of challenge, along with individualized, practical recommendations for home, school, and daily life.
Whether or not a diagnosis is given, the goal is clarity and an actionable plan to support your child’s success.
Do you offer virtual evaluations?
Yes. Portions of evaluations and behavioral consultation may be completed virtually through a secure platform when clinically appropriate. Autism evaluations require in-person testing.
How soon can we start?
Most families are scheduled within approximately two weeks, depending on provider availability and evaluation type.
What age range do you serve?
We evaluate children starting at age 3 through young adults up to age 22.
Who is responsible for payment if insurance denies or partially covers services?
Insurance coverage decisions are made by the carrier, not the provider. Families are responsible for all charges not covered by insurance, including deductibles, co-insurance, or denied claims.
Do you offer therapy or medication management?
No. We focus exclusively on psychological evaluations and behavioral consultation. If ongoing therapy or medication management is recommended, we provide guidance on appropriate next steps and referrals.
Clarity for your child. Confidence for your family.
